You Can't Break the Ties That Bind

Hey, sorry for not having any updates on the Blog for so long. Part of it has been just plain, ol' busy-ness, part of it has been the fact that my computer is a bona-fide piece of crap, and then there's the fact that I have another, more personal online journal whose location I'd rather not disclose. But I'll try to take a more active approach to this one, too, because I've had so many wonderful times on this blog.

I'm digging a homemade Neil compilation, just some choice picks from 1966 to 1969. I've been planning on working on the rest of the volumes, but I just never have the time or the resources. Plus, the songlist keeps changing for the next two volumes. But the next one is sure to include CSNY stuff up 'til Time Fades Away, and then volume 3 will continue TFA and will most likely go up 'til On the Beach. Hm, I'd forgotten what a great song "Flying On the Ground" is.

Like I said, things have been incomparably nutty lately, but they're finally slowing down a bit. Last week was absolute hell, especially over the weekend, but all the major work is done and I just have to worry about finals. On the plus side, there are really only two traditonal finals I have to worry about, and as long as I do well on those, I'll have a suitably nice GPA this semester. I'm also looking forward to going camping after finals are over. I've never really actually camped before, so it'll be an interesting experience.

Boy, I'm hungry. That's the problem with having absolutely no money. Eh, it's just another nine days 'til I get paid, and I'm pretty sure I have some money still in my Albertsons account. It's a shame that NO ONE takes checks around here! Y'know what's gonna suck? Taking everything home after school. I'm pretty sure I can get my friends here to look after a lot fo my things, but I just cringe at the thought of having to pack everything else into my little car, which is on its last legs, anyway. I think that's one of my biggest fears - that my car is going to die in the most inopportune place at the most inopportune time. No, really, that terrifies me. I'd rather stand on the edge of the highest cliff in the middle of the night with a variety of spooky sounds enveloping the air. Cars need to be immortal or something!

Well, my 4 o'clock class is off for today, so I can relax a little bit. I've gotten nothing but good grades on all of the major things I've had to do so far - a praise-ridden "A" on my Vietnam paper, perfect scores on both my math projects. Let's hope I can keep it up.

"In a while, will the smile on my face turn to plaster?
Stick around while the clown who is sick does the trick of disaster."
